Description: Human Klotho beta ELISA Kit PicoKine® (96 Tests). Quantitate Human KLB in cell culture supernatants, cell lysates, serum and plasma (heparin, EDTA). Sensitivity: 50pg/ml.
Function: Contributes to the transcriptional repression of cholesterol 7-alpha-hydroxylase (CYP7A1), the rate-limiting enzyme in bile acid synthesis. Probably inactive as a glycosidase. Increases the ability of FGFR1 and FGFR4 to bind FGF21 (By similarity).
Cell localization: Cell membrane; Single-pass type III membrane protein.
Storage conditions: Store at 4°C for 6 months, at -20°C for 12 months. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles (Ships with gel ice, can store for up to 3 days in room temperature. Freeze upon receiving.)
Assay inforation: Dilution ratio of 1:100, concentration in serum and plasma is 100-213 ng/ml.
