SPRR1B Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain (a.a 2-89) containing 97 amino acids including a 9 a.a N-terminal His tag. The total molecular mass is 10.9kDa (calculated).
Function:
Cross-linked envelope protein of keratinocytes. It is a keratinocyte protein that first appears in the cell cytosol, but ultimately becomes cross-linked to membrane proteins by transglutaminase. All that results in the formation of an insoluble envelope
