SRP54 is a full-length cDNA coding for the human SRP54 protein having a molecular mass of 62kDa (pH 8.9). SRP54 protein is fused to a hexa-histidine purification tag. Applications: Western blot with myositis sera or monoclonal anti-hexa-His-tag antibody.
Function:
Binds to the signal sequence of presecretory protein when they emerge from the ribosomes and transfers them to TRAM (translocating chain-associating membrane protein).
