Description: IGFBP5 Human Recombinant produced in E. coli is non-glycosylated homodimer containing 2x252 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 28.6kDa. IGFBP5 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
Function: IGF-binding proteins prolong the half-life of the IGFs and have been shown to either inhibit or stimulate the growth promoting effects of the IGFs on cell culture. They alter the interaction of IGFs with their cell surface receptors.
Cell localization: Secreted.
Purification: Greater than 96.0% as determined by (a) Analysis by RP-HPLC and (b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
